We emerge triumphant! =)

For seven days we were under the law of a detox diet. Now, we've tried this diet about 3 other times before and the longest we had made it was about 3 days. But this time we were not to be defeated! I found that there are a few simple keys to getting you through those tough times when you just want something that you cannot have. First: Make a complete menu. Every meal and every snack. Second: Hide the things that you cannot have! =) Seriously! It worked for both of us on more than one occasion this week!

(This is the other stuff- coffee, chips, cereal, salt. It was in a box on the fridge last week.)

We started the week off with making some snacks right off the bat. We made granola, smoothie pops, and hummus.

Although we weren't completely free of temptation this week, we managed to make it seven days without cheating! However, a detox diet is supposed to kind of clean up your system and I'm pretty sure it didn't work. We still felt very tired and sluggish despite following all the rules. Oh well. At least we tried! In case you're curious, I'll post a list at the end of what we could and couldn't eat last week.
