Despite not having any rain since we've planted the garden, things are starting to grow!! The first thing to pop out of the ground is the little radishes.
Yeah! Also, we had transplanted a cucumber 'plant' that hadn't germinated yet, but that too is up.
Now, to keep the birds away. We're trying a few different techniques, but we're coming to the realization that it's going to be tough to keep the birdies away from all of our seedlings. Hm... we'll keep trying the tips that are recommended though!
We're also praying for rain. =) Jake has been hauling a 5-gallon bucket of water out to the garden every couple of days to give the plants a drink. This reminds us too much of our slop buckets at the MTC. =) We'd surely appreciate some rain!

Maybe you should try out some of the gardening tips you have in that manual... you know, the ones that we learned all about last month? :)
